Camp Descriptions

Beginner Sailing Camp- Kids ages 8-12 can learn sailing and seamanship skills at the Stanford Sailing Team’s Boathouse. Our staff of experienced US Sailing Certified Instructors will teach your kids lifetime skills in our fleet of 14’ dinghies. The new sailors have an opportunity for non-stop fun in, on and around the water in a safe, clean, outdoor environment. No experience necessary. Children should be comfortable in water and must complete a swim check on the first day of camp. Lifejackets provided.

 

Advanced Beginner Camp- Kids ages 11-13 that is ready to advance their skills but are not ready for intermediate sailing yet.  This lets young sailors progress their skills and stay in an age appropriate environment.  Our staff of experienced US Sailing Certified Instructors will teach your kids lifetime skills in our fleet of 14’ dinghies.  Some experience is required.  Lifejackets provided.

 

 

Intermediate Sailing Camp- Kids ages 13-15 years old who want to expand on their seamanship skills and work towards competing in sailboat racing. The class will be held primarily in the Stanford Sailing Team’s 14’ Dinghies. Two sessions of Beginner Camp or a session of Advanced Beginner or permission of Director of Sailing required for enrollment. Children should be comfortable in water and must complete a swim check on the first day of camp. Lifejackets provided.
